

Into the DeepThe gears and pistons of the hulking transport added to cacophony of the busy streets of Vancouver. Its elongated dog-like steel and brass frame swayed gently with each step it took, as did its dozens of passengers. Below, street vendors scuttled across roads and alleys, completely oblivious to the behemoth above them. Smaller residential walkers weaved in and out of the legs of the larger public transports, hurrying to wherever their business might be taking them. Once or twice a tourist would stop and marvel at the intricacies of each machine, the engravings, details, and unnecessary flair of eachInto the Deep

An unknown feeling... Emotions caught in the wind, Land in a wood chipper.


No-Fun ZoneDressed in our Saturday best, A top hat, a cane, a gas mask,No-Fun Zone
chains, corsets, cat-ears,
and rainbow-streamers on zebra print,
The skytrain is empty, except for us.
Songs keep the mood light. Ridiculous songs of zombies, Mad scientists and evil robots, New Zealand comedy duos And Germans. "Merry Christmas from Chiron Beta Prime." In the middle of a gruelling summer.
The skytrain slows to a hault. A single, frail old woman sits down next to us. We all freeze as she glares and then moves away.


No Eccentrics AlloudIn deathly silence, only the bus hums, As people stare at each other blindly. A beat grows slowly, and they turn to see Him beating the bar, playing his air drums. An old man glares, a woman rolls her eyes, and another man picks up his air guitar. Singing the chords, his voice doesn't carry far, But the bus driver hears and looks annoyed. But I hear too, and sing along with him, Our bus ride rock band turning many heads With our harmony and spontaneity. But nobody appreciates our little hymn; One man says "Shut up!' as he sits and reads, And so we stop, taming eccenNo Eccentrics Alloud
